14 MAY – SUNDAY JUNIOR CUP – Dronfield edged out by Greendale Oak – The County FA Sunday Junior Cup Final was the final game of the season for our clubs and it saw AFC Dronfield finish as Runners-up after Worksop's Greendale Oak beat them 1-0 in a pulsating final at an Athersley Recreation bathed in glorious sunshine. Dronfield almost took an early lead but the ball came back of the post and they had a couple of other half chances in the first half. Greendale put together some good moves and only a couple of last ditch interventions stopped them from going in front. The second half saw Ddronfield get on top and more half chances came their way, but Greendale always looked dangerous on the break and the Dronfield keeper had to make a great save to keep the scores level. Soon after though the Worksop side won the ball in midfield and the ball found their forward in space before he calmly put the ball past the onrushing keeper. Dronfield threw everything at them and in the last few minutes missed three decent chances to level, but it wasn't to be and the Cup went to Greendale.

12 MAY – TWENTYTWO LEAGUE CUP – Oughtibridge take the Cup for a second time – The League's Twentytwo League Cup went to Oughtibridge winning a dramatic penalty shoot-out 3-1 after the game finished goalless. It's the second time they have taken the trophy and against Stannington Village in both games.

League Champions Stannington Village were going for the double, but found the Oughtibridge defence in determined mood, especially with Matt Broomhead turning in a Man of the Match performance in the heart of their defence. Stannington couldn't take advantage of three good chances in the first half, but needed their keeper Nathan Ryan to make a couple of vital saves in the second half. It was Stannington that came closest to winning it when Moseb Gadour hit the bar in the final seconds of the game and that meant it would be decided by penalties. It was a disaster for Stannington with three takers hitting the crossbar and although Jack Ridge saw his kick saved by Ryan, Luke Needham and Adam Thomas scored both their pens to leave Charlie Cope to score the decisive penalty to win it. The teams: Oughtibridge War Memorial: Jack Mitchell; Tom Yarrow; Adam Thomas; Simon Duckworth; Matthew Broomhead; Innocent Huly; Luke Needham; Daniel Broomhead; Connor Platts; Matt Harrison; Ollie Black; Charlie Tunnard; Harvey Hancock; Charlie Cope; Callum Simms; Jack Ridge. Stannington Village: Nathan Ryan; Seb Robemmond; Ben Cook; Danny Abdulla; Matt Reay; Jack Holmes; Charlie Hobson; Lee Johnstone; Jack Haslam; Luca DeFalco; Bill Green; Moseb Gadour; Jonathan Wall; David Shepherd; Brandon Bradbury. 11 MAY – DIVISION 1 – Chapeltown Beat Southey to take the title and Woodman Intake are promoted – Chapeltown RBL took the title with a 3-0 victory at a Southey Social that know the defeat means they miss out on promotion.

RBL travelled to Tapton School with both needing a win for different reasons. Chapeltown RBL needed to win the secure the league title, whilst Southey needed to win to take 3rd spot and promotion. Legion got off to the perfect start on 6 minutes when Brad Beatson turned neatly on half way and played a perfect pass for top scorer Jay Carter to run on to and calmly finish in the bottom corner. Southey then had their best spell of the game for 15 minutes asking questions of the RBL back four and almost equalised, but for a superb point blank save by Lewis Fox.

The second half saw RBL start well and following a hand ball on the edge of the area, in-form Mitch Savage fired home the free kick to double the advantage. Beatson then scored his 6th goal in 4 games after good work down the channel by Carter left him with an easy finish. Legion defended well to earn a clean sheet and ensure they won a title for a second season running under manager Adam Todd.

9 MAY – Defeats for both Stannington and Joker Wickersley – Stannington Village's efforts to become the first Blades Super Draw team to land the Sunday Senior Cup fell at the final hurdle when they were beaten 1-0 by holders Scawthorpe Athletic at Rossington Main. The game was largely dominated by defences, but Scawthorpe beat the offside trap in the second half to score with the only real chance of the game. Stannington will look to make amends in the Blades Super Draw League Cup Final on Friday.

Joker Wickersley Youth's defeat in the Rotherham Charity Cup Final was much larger, going down 8-0 to Dog Daisy United at Rotherham United's New York Stadium.

6 MAY – 4 Cup Finals and a decider in a thrilling final week – The final week of the season will feature 4 Cup Finals and a league & promotion decider. It starts with the County FA Sunday Senior Cup Final on Tuesday 9 May, when Stannington Village will hope to be the first Blades Super Draw League team to win the trophy when they take on the holders Scawthorpe Athletic. The game is at Rossington Main and kick-off is at 7:30. On the same evening Joker Wickersley Youth CC take on Dog Daisy United in the Rotherham Charity Cup Final at Rotherham United's New York Stadium with a 7 pm kick-off.

On Thursday 11 May Southey Social entertain Chapeltown RBL in the final League game of the season. If Chapeltown win they will be Champions, Eckington will be 2nd and Southey will miss out on the 3rd promotion place, which will go to Woodman Intake, but if Sougthey win they will be promoted in 3rd place, Eckington will be Champions and Woodman Intake will miss out. If it ends in a draw, Eckington will be Champions, Chapeltown will be second and Woodman Intake will be promoted in 3rd place. It should be a thriller.

On Friday 12 May it's the Blades Super Draw League Twentytwo Cup Final at Bramall Lane, where Stannington Village will be hoping to make it an unprecented treble against fellow CBC Premier Oughtibridge WM. They met in Oughtibridge's only other Final when Oughtibridge came out on top 2-0 and Oughtibridge won 2-0 at Stannington earlier in the season, but Stannington won 5-0 at Oughtibridge. The game kicks-off at 7 pm and admission is just £5.

The last game of the season is on Sunday 14 May and sees Division One AFC Dronfield, in their first ever final, take on Kevin Cookson's Greendale Oak from the Worksop League. It could be a double celebration for AFC Dronfield as their Saturday side are in the County FA Association Cup Final a day earlier. Greendale Oak have already put out both Eckington and Chapeltown RBL in the quarter and semi finals, but Dronfield might just be good enough to become the League's second successive winner of the trophy. The game is at Athersley Rec and kicks-off at 12 noon.

4 MAY – CBC PREMIER –
Boynton end the CBC Premier season in style –
The CBC Premier's final game of the season saw relegated Boynton Sports show why they will be favourites to bounce back next seson with a 2-0 victory over third place Wadsley Bridge Pheasant, Boynton's third in their last four games. After a goalless first half it was Richie Aatkins 5th goal in 4 games that gave Boynton the lead and with Liam Halshaw driving them on in midfield they soon made the game safe with a second from Isaac Reardon.

30 APRIL – CBC PREMIER – Stannington Village are the Champions for a 7th time – Stannington Village are the League Champions for a 7th time. They have won the title more times than any other club and were last champions in 2018. They are hoping to complete an unprecedented treble as they are also in the League's Twentytwo League Cup Final against Oughtibridge WM on a date to be arranged and face Scawthorpe Athletic in their first ever Sunday Senior Cup Final on 9 May.

30 APRIL – DIVISION 1 – Title and promotion race going to a last game decider – Current leaders Eckington won 3-2 at third place Woodman Intake to keep top spot for now. Eckington took the lead when a long throw hit a defender and went in off the bar, but two goals by Elliott Coles put Woodman ahead at the break. Eckington levelled with a Joe Harris penalty and won it when Ethan Flower scored with a free kick.

Second place Chapeltown RBL beat Cotts FC 4-1. Chapeltown took the lead before half-time when Morgan Cowell flicked on and Mitch Savage played Brad Beatson clean through and he cut a composed figure as he beat the oncoming goalkeeper. The goal of the game came early in the second half when Niall Smith found Beatson wide and he crossed for Savage to apply the finishing touch in a flowing move. Cotts pulled a goal back when Chris Salt finished well in to the top corner and rallied to cause RBL some problems, but the two goal lead was restored when the ball fell to Savage to volley in to the bottom corner from the edge of the area. The scoring was completed when Smith beat his man down the left and crossed for Joe Moorhouse to score his second goal of the week.

Woodman's defeat gave Southey Social the chance to take the third promotion place, but despite Brandon Whitfield's 19th goal of the season they slipped to a surprise 5-1 defeat against Red Lion. Sam Read and Max Howard both netted twice for Lion, with Daniel Nelson hitting their other. AFC Dronfield also had the chance to go above Woodman and first half goals from Jimmy Middleton and a Ross Dawson double saw them three up at the break aagainst Sheffield South, but they couldn't add to it in the second half and it proved crucial as they finished level on points and goal difference with Woodman, but Woodman stayed above them by virtue of scoring more goals.

It means that if Chapeltown beat Southey in the final game of the season, Chapeltown will be Division One champions and Woodman will be promoted in third place, but if Southey win, they will snatch third place from Woodman Intake and the title will go to Eckington. If they draw, Eckington will be be champions and Woodman Intake will be third.

30 APRIL – DIVISION 2 – Mosborough win to take the runners-up spot – Mosborough Reds pipped Sheaf House to the runners-up spot with a 3-1 victory over Stag FC. Gaz Coddington gave Reds the lead with a shot from the edge of the area and a minute later Oliver Tupling twisted and turned before beating the keeper. They effectively sealed the victory just two minutes later with a header from Alix Sorsby putting them three up. They created and missed several chances after that, but a Stag side that had to play with ten men right from the start gave it their best and after pulling one back with a Jack Roper strike might have had others from some half-chances that came their way.

That defeat that saw Stag drop to the foot of the table on goal difference after Wadsley FC earned a point with a 1-1 draw at Royal Oak (Dronfield). In a game where defences were on top it was the 85th minute before Zack Cutts gave Wadsley the lead, but three minutes later Josh Crookes equalised for Oak.

27 APRIL – CBC PREMIER – Stannington see off Sixers – Stannington Village beat Sheffield Sixers 3-0 to stand on the verge of the title. Lee Johnstone found Jon Wall and he chipped the keeper from 45 yards to give Stannington the lead at half-time. Johnstone was again the provider for Aemad Gadour to hit their second, before Luca DeFalco set up Mosab Gadour to complete the scoring.

27 APRIL – DIVISION 1 – Chapeltown hold Eckington to leave the title on a knife edge – Chapeltown RBL twice came from behind to claim a 2-2 draw at title rivals Eckington leaving the title race on a knife edge. Alister Haydock pulled the ball back for Zach Burns to give Eckington the lead, but Chapeltown levelled before half time when Connor Tongue's cross was headed on by Morgan Cowell and Niall Smith scored with a free header at the back post. The second half saw Eckington go back in front when Mark England-Woodcock turned a cross into his own net, but Chapeltown grabbed the equaliser that kept them in the title hunt when Brad Beatson crossed and Joe Moorhouse scored from the tightest of angles.

Both teams are already promoted, but if Eckington win their final game against Woodman Intake, Chapeltown must win their final two games against Cotts FC and Southey Social to take the title. Who goes up with them is still available to Woodman Intake, Southey Social and AFC Dronfield.

23 APRIL – CBC PREMIER – Title still up for grabs as top two both win and who goes down is anyone's guess – Stannington Village, who have two games in hand, remained in title contention with a narrow 2-1 victory Boynton Sports and if they win their final two games tthey will take the title. Stannington almost went ahead in the first minute when Jack Holmes hit both the post and bar, but they did get in front when Callum Pinhorn intercepted a back-pass and found Luca DeFalco to finish with his right foot. Boynton responded and Richie Atkins scored his fourth goal in three games to level the scores. Stannington regained the lead before half time when Jon Wall's corner was firmly headed home by Matt Reay (left) and that how the score finished, with the Boynton defence keeping the Stannington attack at bay in the second half

Current leaders Royal Earl 's final match of the season saw them maintain their 5 point lead with a 3-1 victory at Sheffield Sixers. Steve Brammer and Matt Morton goals gave Earl a two goal lead at half-time and Theo Wilson extended it after the break. Ross Lamkin pulled one back for Sixers, but Earl ran out comfortable winners and they now must hope that Stannington don't win both their remaining games.

That defeat left Sixers just above the bottom three, but one of the teams that can still catch them, FC Inter, also lost 3-1 at Wadsley Bridge Pheasant. Pheasant took a half-time lead with an Aaron Statham header and after missing more chances in the second half they eventually doubled it with a good George Rudd finish. Liam Bryan pulled one back for Inter and they pressed hard for the equaliser that would have taken them out of the bottom three, but it was Pheasant that completed the scoring when a quick break allowed Jake Squires to score their third.

23 APRIL – DIVISION 1 – Chapeltown Beat up Lion to clinch promotion, but Eckington still top, and Southey Hop into promotion contention – Chapeltown RBL clinched promotion with a 3-0 victory at Red Lion. After a goalless first half, both sides hit the woodwork early in the second and RBL keeper Lewis Fox produced a wonder save to stop his side falling behind. It was Chapeltown that got their noses in front when Mark England-Woodcock whipped in a cross and the in-form Brad Beatson rose highest to head home. Another header doubled RBL's lead when Niall Smith's corner was met by Mitch Savage (right) and the scoring was completed when Beatson grabbed his second from Connor Tongue's cross.

Eckington remained top though with a 2-1 victory at AFC Dronfield - a result that severely damaged Dronfield's promotion chances. Dronfield took an 11th minute lead when a long free kick was flicked over the keeper by Jimmy Middleton, but Eckington levelled before half-time when an effort hit the bar and Alistair Haydock was on hand to fire the rebound home. Both sides went for the winner, but it went to Eckington five minutes from time when Jamie Bonsor was brought down in the area and Tom Gambles (left) scored from the spot.

Favourites to land the third promotion place could now be Southey Social after two Kieran Hopkinson helped them to a narrow 3-2 win at next-to-bottom Cotts FC. Ty Gunter gave Cotts the early lead, but Hopkinson's double put Southey ahead. Hopkinson then missed a great chance to complete a hat-trick when Southey were awarded a penalty, but he missed the chance. Fin Kew did make it 3-1 to Southey and although Jake Abrahams scored a second for Cotts in the last minute, Southey held on and if they win their final two games they will finish third, although that might not be too easy as one of them is a Chapeltown RBL needing to win to take the title.

23 APRIL – DIVISION 2 – Mosborough snatch a draw to keep their runners-up hopes alive – Mosborough Reds twice came from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw at runners-up rivals Sheaf House. Tom Vasey gave Sheaf the lead, but Mosborough equalised before half time with a bizarre goal from Tom Rowbotham when his slide tackle saw the ball fly off him and beat the keeper. After the break, the current League's leading scorer, Dan Wood, netted his 21st of the season to put Sheaf back in front, but they were pegged back a second time when Rowbotham's free kick was headed on by Jak Hotchin and their leading scorer Matt Ellis (right) produced a superb volley for his 14th of the season. If Mosborough win their final game at home to Stag FC next Sunday they will pip Sheaf House to that runners-up spot, any other result will see it go to Sheaf.

20 APRIL – CBC PREMIER – Stannington close the gap on Earl, but stalemates at the bottom – Stannington Village moved to within five points of leaders Royal Earl by completing a 5 day double over Joker Wickersley Youth with a 3-0 victory. At the other end of the table, Sheffield Sixers gained a valuable point by drawing 1-1 at Oughtibridge WM, but Crookes and FC Inter did themselves no favours when they drew 1-1 with each other - a result that suggests that one of them will go down.

19 & 20 APRIL – DIVISION 1 – Chapeltown almost there, but it's very tight behind them – Chapeltown RBL need one more win to join Eckington in promotion and in reality, just a single point will probably be enough after their 4-1 win at Colley. Woodman Intake went third as their 5-0 victory at Cotts put them ahead of AFC Dronfield by scoring more goals, but Red Lion could still pip both of them after beating Norton Oaks 3-0. Southey Social could also beat all of them to it if they win all their remaining games.

20 APRIL – DIVISION 2 – Mosborough show How to close up on the top two – Danny Howson netted twice to help Mosborough Reds to a 4-1 victory at Brinsworth Phoenix to set up a potential promotion decider with Sheaf House on Sunday - if there is a winner in that game, the winner will be promoted in second place, but if they draw, Mosborough Reds will need to win their final game to pip Sheaf House to it.

16 APRIL – CBC PREMIER – Inter Ripped apart by Earl, Stannington slam Joker and Boynton off the bottom – Alex Rippon (left) hit a hat-trick as Royal Earl maintained their place at the top with a 4-0 victory at FC Inter. Steve Brammer opened the scoring with a tidy finish and then it was the Alex Rippon show as he went on to get a hat-trick, capped off by rounding the keeper and smashing it in roof of the net 18 yards.

Stannington Village hit Joker Wickersley Youth for six to improve their title chances and end Joker's title hopes. Stannington took the lead when a free kick was headed on by Bill Green allowing Jack Haslam to head into the corner, A second came before half-time when Luce DeFalco was brought down in the box and Charlie Hobson sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot. Joker started well in the second half, but Stannington netted their third when a cross from Dave Shepherd found DeFalco and he slooted past the keeper, A fouth came from the best move when Jon Wall passed to Haslam, who squared to Dave Shepherd and he hit it first time in the far corner, A similar move saw Haslam squared again to Dave Shepherd to score his second within a few minutes and their sixth came in the last few minutes when Seb Robbemond passed to Jon Wall and he bent it out over the keeper into the top corner from just inside the box.

Despite Wadsley Bridge Pheasant winning 3-0 at Sheffield Sixers, their title challenge is also over. Pheasant started well and missed chances to take early lead, but Carlton Carty finally broke the deadlock. Aaron Statham headed a second and a fine save by Joel Statham in Pheasant net kept their lead at the break. After the break, Pheasant missed chances to extend their lead, including a penalty miss, but George Rudd finally made it three.

Boynton Sports moved off the foot of the table with a 2-1 victory at a Water Tower now bottom. It was past the hour mark before Richie Atkins gave Boynton the lead ans Simon Marsden soon added a second. Ant Holmes pulled one back for Tower, but it turned out to be just a consolation.

16 APRIL – DIVISION 1 – Top two share the points and Dronfield move into the promotion places – Leaders Eckington and second place Chapeltown RBL shared the points with a 1-1 draw. An even first half brought no goals either way, but after good work by Jay Carter in the second half, Brad Beatson finished into the bottom corner to put Chapeltown ahead. Both teams made changes and it worked for Eckington when a looped cross from Joe Harris evaded everyone and dropped into the top corner. Both teams pushed until the end, but the points were shared.

AFC Dronfield moved up to third with a 3-1 victory over Woodman Intake. Dronfield took a first minute lead through Finn Masterson and it was quickly followed with a second from Joe Lumley. Jackson Hassenyeh followed up with a long range shot to make it 3-0 at half time. Woodman had more of the game in the second half and an own goal saw them pull one back, but that was as close as they got.

Red Lion gave themselves some room in the relegation fight as two Sam Roden strikes gave them a 2-1 victory over fellow strugglers Cotts FC. Michael Blythen netted for Cotts, but it wasn't enough to stop them from another defeat.

16 APRIL – DIVISION 2 – Woodseats end their season on a high and Jubilee end Oaks' top two hopes – AFC Woodseats beat Wadsley FC 2-1 to end their season on a high. A mistake by the Wadsley keeper allowed Steve Rotherham to tap the ball home, but Wadsley were level moments later when Oliver Westerman netted after his first effort had come back off the bar. Woodseats won the game in the second half with a Marshall Elli-Young strike.

Royal Oak's chances of a top two finish ended with a 4-2 defeat at champions-elect Jubilee Rangers. Royal Oak took the lead early on in the game with a good finish from Jordan Thompson and although Jubilee responded well, and created some good chances they trailed at the break. Jubilee started on the front foot in the second half and continued to create chances and Lewis Smith found the back of net to equalise. Alfie Smith then put Jubilee in-front with a header at the back post. Royal Oak responded and won a penalty which was calmly slotted home by Josh Sugden. Jubilee then re-took the lead with Joshua Reaney scoring a screamer from 30 yards out and Alfie Smith netted his second by tapping home from a few yards out.

13 APRIL – CBC PREMIER – Boynton put Crookes on Atkins diet – Richie Atkins scored twice as Boynton Sports came from behind to inflict a fifth successive defeat, 3-2, on Crookes who are now in serious danger of the drop as the teams immediately above and below them have three games in hand. Atkins fput Boynton ahead with a tap-in from a cross by Nathan Davies, but Will Wraith and Michael Vella strikes put Crookes ahead by hal-time. After the break, with Marc Peacock giving a man of the match performance at centre back, Boynton hit back and Curtis Priday headed them level before Atkins scored his second with a header from an Isaac Reardon cross.

13 APRIL – DIVISION 1 – Cotts hold Chapeltown to make it tight at the top and bottom – Cotts held Chapeltown RBL to a 1-1 draw to make both the title battle and the relegation battle very tight. Sam Stacey gave Cotts the lead just before half time and although Harley Wilson thought he had equalised after the break, the referee ruled that the ball had not crossed the line. Chapeltown did eventually get their equaliser when a Connor Tonge free kick was headed home by Morgan Cowell.

11 APRIL – DIVISION 1 – Eckington extend their lead at the top – Eckington extended their lead at the top of the table with a 7-1 victory over Norton Oaks. George Von Schreiber set up Chris Pigott to give Norton a shock lead, but Owen Ryan and Joe Harris strikes had Eckington in front at the break. The second half saw Pat Stothard add a third and Dan White a fourth. Alister Haydock made it five and White added his second with a terrific header, before Harry Bell completed the scoring.

9 APRIL – CBC PREMIER – Earl go clear at the top and Sixers climb out of danger – Royal Earl beat old rivals Crookes 3-0 to go five points clear at the top. After a goalless first half, Earl's Sam Smith broke the deadlock with a header and sub Joe Pearson doubled Earl's lead with a strike from outside the box. Matt Morton completed the scoring with a well placed free kick.

The CBC Premier’s leading scorer Connor Platts hit a hat-trick along with a Harvey Hancock strike as Oughtibridge WM probably made their place in the CBC Premier safe for another year with a 4-3 victory over an FC Inter still in the drop zone.

Sheffield Sixers climbed out of the bottom three with the help of two goals and two assists by an almost unplayable Danny Barnsley (right) as they came from two down to grab a vital victory at Boynton Sports. Sixers didn't get out of bed for the first 30 mins and Boynton went two up with goals from Curtis Priday and Liam Halshaw, but Sixers with players back from injury started to get on top from then on in. Barnsley smashed a free kick from 25 Yards for 2-1 before half time.

Barnsley went on a mazey run and fired across for Brad Howe to tap home for 2-2 on 60 mins and ten minutes later Tommy Davies headed home Barnsley's corner to put Sixers ahead. The goal of the game came when Barnsley again cut inside and rifled into the top corner from outside the box. Boynton made it nervy last 10 minutes after Nathan Davies netted their third with a free-kick, but Sixers held out.

9 APRIL – DIVISION 1 – Eckington go back on top and Dronfield join the promotion race – Eckington went back to the top of the table with a 3-1 victory over a Cotts FC stuck in the bottom three. A dominant Eckington start saw them take the lead in the 42nd minute when the ball found Alister Haydock just inside the box and he curled a shot into the top corner. Fifteen minutes after the break Eckington doubled their lead when the ball was pulled back into the path of Dan White who swept home into the roof of the net. Alex Calton pulled one back for Cotts when a ball over the top was squared across and he tapped home, but Eckington sealed the win in the 89th minute when Pat Stothard touched the ball beyond the keeper.

AFC Dronfield are now just a point off third place after their 3-1 victory at a Colley side third from bottom. Colley started the game having scratched together a side and battled well but a lovely move mid-way through the first half saw AFC go in 1-0 up with Ross Dawson's 14 of the season. Colley tried to get back into the game after the break, but a crazy 2 minutes saw Colley hit the bar, concede a 2nd through Sam Porter, then concede another by Alex Pursehouse from Colley's own kick off !! Colley got a goal back through Chance Migabo, but couldn’t find another to get back into the game.

2 APRIL – LEAGUE TWENTYTWO CUP – Oughtibridge see off Inter and Stannington make Pheasant pay the penalty – The Final will be between Oughtibridge WM and Stannington Village after two Simon Duckworth strikes helped Oughtibridge overcome FC Inter and Stannington beat Wadsley Bridge Pheasant in a penalty shoot-out after Stannington had twice come from behind to draw.

Oughtibridge took the lead when a speculative shot by Connor Platts was saved by Inter keeper Danny Dobson, but the ball somehow slipped from his grasp and Simon Duckworth was alert enough to slide in to score. Inter fought back and another goalkeeping error, this time by Oughtibridge keeper Jack Mitchell, allowed them to level. The equaliser came when Adam Justice took a free kick from halfway in his own half and with Mitchell completely misjudging it, the ball sailed over his head into the empty net. The teams looked certain to go into the break level until Ollie Black and Duckworth combined before putting Platts through and he hit an unstoppable shot past the keeper. Inter tried hard to get back into the game after the break, but Oughtibridge seemed to cope without too many problems and they made their place in the final safe when Chas Tunnard found Black with time and space to turn and whip in a cross to the back post that was headed home by Duckworth. Below are pictures from the game.

Wadsley Bridge Pheasant suffered an early blow when striker Adam Askwith had to go off injured, but they were the first to strike when Jordan Stocks struck a terrific free kick past Nathan Ryan in the Stannington goal. Stannington levelled when Jon Wall’s free kick allowed Lee Johnstone to slide the ball home. Johnstone then struck the bar with a header, but it was Pheasant that struck next with another Stocks free kick. Stannington pressed for an equaliser, but the Pheasant defence seemed to be coping comfortably until a long clearance by Stannington keeper Nathan Ryan bounced over the Pheasant back four and Aemad Gadour bravely headed past the onrushing keeper. That took the game to a penalty shoot-out and it was Stannington that took the advantage when Ryan saved the first Pheasant spot kick by Jordan Turner. Stannington scored all their’s and the game was over when Pheasant missed their final kick. Below are pictures from the game - the first penalty shown is the one saved by keeper Nathan Ryan.

2 APRIL – SUNDAY JUNIOR CUP – Dronfield make their first final, but Chapeltown just edged out – Ross Dawson scored twice as AFC Dronfield produced a stunning second half to comfortably beat Mexborough Athletic 4-0 to reach their first ever final. After a goalless first half an early strike by John Lowe put Dronfield ahead and Dronfield took control when Sam Porter doubled their lead. Dawson then struck twice to make sure Dronfield made that first final.

It won't be another all-Blades Super Draw final though as Chapeltown RBL were pipped in extra time by Worksop Premier side Greendale Oak. After a goalless 90 minutes a goal in extra time was enough to give Oak the victory.

2 APRIL – CBC PREMIER – Joker narrow the gap at the top – Joker Wickersley Youth CC cut the gap at the top of the CBC Premier to just two points with a 3-1 home win over Sheffield Sixers - a result that leaves Sixers still in the bottom three. Jordan Thomas gave Joker the lead and it was doubled by Kris Lee-Green. Nathan Taylor made it three before Jake Thompson hit Sixers consolation.

2 APRIL – DIVISION 1 – Woodman join the promotion race, but South's challenge hit by Belshaw – Woodman Intake joined the promotion race with a 3-2 victory over third place Southey Social. Brandon Whitfield for Southey and Elliott Coles for Woodman made it 1-1 at half-time before Harry Walker and Josh Barringham strikes made it 3-1 for Woodman before Roan Heeley hit Southey’s second to make it a nervy last 20 minutes.

It looks like Sheffield South's challenge is all but over after Chris Belshaw's hat-trick helped relegation threatened Colley to a 5-3 victory over them. All eight goals came in the second half. Chris Belshaw acored twice and Ildephonse Hussain once to put Colley three up until Harry Pollard and Brad Smith pulled two back for South. Belshaw completed his hat-trick, but Pollard scored his second to keep South in the game until Steve Dickinson netted Colley’s fifth to see them over the line.

Both Cotts and Red Lion did no favours for each other when they drew 2-2 with each other as victory for either of them would not only have lifted them away from danger, but might have even pushed them into the promotion race. Sama Roden and Josh Jordan scored for Lion, with Andrew Swift and Sam Stacey netting for Cotts.

2 APRIL – DIVISION 2 – Reid Flanagan and Wood to the four – Brendon Reid Flanagan scored four as Jubilee Rangers took their unbeaten record to 12 with a 9-1 win at AFC Woodseats. Jubilee’s others came from Jack Shaw, Mason Hunt, Lewis Smith, Harry Trotter and Joe Hall, with Spencer Pettinger netting Woodseats’ consolation.

Dan Wood also hit four as second place Sheaf House opened up a five point gap below them with a 6-2 victory over Brinsworth Phoenix. Wood’s four goal haul took his total for the season to 20 and to the top of the League’s goalscoring charts for the time being at least. Alex Platton and Thomas Duffield netted Sheaf’s others, whilst scorers for Phoenix was a terrific solo effort by Joe Statham and their second was a first of the season for Jake Slaughter with a direct free kick he shot under the defensive wall.
