PRESENTED BY DAVID HOLDSWORTH (SHEFF UTD)

After making the step-up from Under 18 football, in his first season in the League, Elliott has quickly established himself as one of Division Two most feared strikers. Alan Parkin (Laycock Sports)

PRESENTED BY DAVID HOLDSWORTH (SHEFF UTD)

When you are at the bottom of the table and only gained one point all season, some people would give up, but not Laycock’s secretary Alan Parkin. He has continued the job he has done for over 10 years, with his normally cheery outlook. Without people like Alan, teams would not keep going and he is so committed to Laycock Sports that even at his tender age he is still registered as a player and has even played this season.

PRESENTED BY SEAN BEAN

Mark is currently the leading scorer for two CBC Premier clubs. NICK OWEN (HEMSWORTH VILLA)

PRESENTED BY BRYAN ROBSON (SHEFFIELD UNITED)

Nick Owen has made the most remarkable start to life in the League that anyone can remember. Given that he is playing in the League’s CBC Premier Division, most would have thought to score eighteen in a season would be good going, but Nick has done just that in his first month.

He made a dream debut for Villa on the opening day of the season by netting all his side’s goals in a 6-0 win at Oxspring, but to show that that wasn’t enough, two weeks later he hit a magnificent seven in Villa’s 10-1 Sunday Cup victory over Cart & Horses. There were singles in the games before and after that cup tie, before hitting another three against Oxspring in September’s final game.

Also the Travellers secretary, Paul’s ideals that have set the tone for the way Travellers play and his team’s approach regularly draws praise from opponents and referees alike.

ANDY rEGISTER (Laycock Sports)

PRESENTED BY DARIO GRADI MBE manager of Crewe A

When Laycock Sports re-joined the League, it was particularly good to see Andy Register back with us and he hasn't disappointed.
He has shown that even though at the verteran stage, he has lost none of his ability and enthusiasm, and both on and off the pitch he has played a real part in what looks likely to be a successful return to the top flight for Laycock's.

Mick Firth (Referee)

PRESENTED BY GEORGE BURLEY (Southampton)

Mick has long been recognised for his high standards as a referee and a dedication to local football, so when he was asked to be the referee on Lynthorpe Oak’s return to action after a tragic road accident had claimed the lives of two of their players, Mick was eager to oblige and he went a step further by donating his match fees to the chosen charity of the families.

ANDY JONES (ROYAL OAK PITSMOOR)

PRESENTED BY COLIN LEE manager of MILLWALL

When a couple of CBC Premier sides dropped out at the last minute Royal Oak agreed to take a place in the top division and although they are struggling near the foot of the table, Oak are always still trying to play good football.

As secretary, Andy is one of the people responsible for the team’s positive outlook and on the pitch he has been a great example to any footballer. A very skilful, attacking full back, his performances keep attacting positive comment from opponents and spectators alike and there is probably no better player in his position playing in the League.

WENDY STEVENS (THE PARK)

PRESENTED BY STEVE COPPELL (Reading)

When The Park needed a new secretary a couple of years ago they turned to Wendy, but when taking the job she made it clear that standards had to improve both on and off the pitch. It is something of a measure of her success that she has quickly become recognised as one of the top secretary's in the league, helping to turn the club from one heading towards oblivion, to one capable of competing regularly in the top flight.

MICHAEL BLYTHEN (WOODHOUSE GEORGE)

PRESENTED BY DENNIS WISE manager of MILLWALL

In just their third season in the League, Woodhouse George have followed successful Division Two and One title campaigns by winning the CBC Premier title to complete the set.

One of the biggest reasons for their success is their dominance in midfield and at the heart of it is Michael Blythen. Although his colleagues in the team also gain plenty of praise from opponents and spectators alike, he has again been outstanding in this season’s success, and, perhaps, the only surprise is that any Football League clubs haven’t taken a gamble on his undoubted talent.

Brian Maguire (Lord Nelson)

PRESENTED BY Mike Newell (Luton Town)

To score a hat-trick is a feat many players dream of and many would be very proud to score three in a season, but in Brian's case he has put himself into the record books by scoring three hat-tricks in just one game.

Brian has always scored goals for whichever team he has played for, but he will look back with particular pride at his nine goals in Lord Nelson's 16-0 County FA Junior Cup victory over Beighton Falcons

GRANVILLE & JOHN GRAYSON (STANNINGTON VILLAGE)

PRESENTED BY PETER SHILTON (ENGLAND'S MOST CAPPED INTERNATIONAL)

There is no doubt that without the Granville and John Grayson’s of this world there would not be any local non-league football. The father and son combination have been the driving force behind Stannington Village, seeing them win honours before joining the Blades Super Draw League and continuing in the same vein since.

After successive promotions in their first two seasons, Village went on to complete the CBC Premier and Milk Cup double with a record 6-0 victory in the Bramall Lane final and after securing a semi final place again, along with just one league defeat, they look well on their way to a repeat. Although they would be the last people to admit it, much of it is down to their dedication.

PRESENTED BY STUART McCALL (Sheffield United)

When Tony asked if his new team could join the League, he had just two weeks to put all the pieces in place. He made it and even though his Dynamo Hartshead team struggled, they kept playing with a smile.

After gaining just two points in their first season, they hadn’t won even a friendly when they faced a Pen Nook side that had won all its games, but helped by some vital saves by Tony in their goal, their efforts and enthusiasm finally gained its deserved reward, as they turned the form book on its head to secure their first ever win, 3-2.

With only two defeats all season, Woodhouse are cruising to a second successive promotion as champions. And have already achieved a second successive ACC Milk Cup semi final spot.

PRESENTED BY MICKY ADAMS, LEICESTER CITY MANAGER 2002/03

Until retiring from Radio Sheffield at the end of last season, for more years than even he will want to remember, Brian Bradley was the voice of non-league football. His knowledge of local football is without equal and the League is indebted to him for all his efforts.

Luke is a player with genuine pace and a real eye for goal. His scoring record this season is virtually second to none, only failing to find the net in four of his sides 20 games so far this season.

St Cecelia's

PRESENTED BY NEIL WARNOCK manager of SHEFFIELD UNITED

St Cecelia’s were part of a tragic opening day of the season, when an opponent collapsed and died.

Both on the day and on subsequent days and weeks the Saints have been true to their name by giving support, to the family and friends of their opponent and encouragement to Freedom House.

When they finally got their season underway, they have been superb, winning all their games in some style.

  John Cupitt  OF   TELECOM SPORTS

To keep a successful club running is sometimes hard, but when your club is struggling at the bottom of the league it is twice as difficult. That pressure to keep going is even more intense when you are running the league’s oldest club, but the fact that Telecom Sports is still alive and kicking is mainly down to the hard work and enthusiasm of John.

GleNn White  OF   OLD BLUE BALL

Many good players have graced the League from time to time and a few have played for our teams for a number of years, but few can match Glenn’s record. He was scoring goals fifteen years ago when he first came into the League and he’s still doing it in the CBC Premier for an Old Blue Ball heavily involved in the race for the title.
